THE beleaguered solicitors’ professional indemnity (PI) market has been given a boost after INK Underwriting Agencies and St Giles Legal and Professional Risks joined forces to offer a new facility. Those firms with between one and 25 partners will be able to benefit from the new product, with clients given access to risk management services, including risk and Lexcel level reviews. The company explained the launch of the new product is timely, as companies will be able to take advantage ahead of the major solicitors’ PI renewal at the beginning of October. The managing director of INK, Mike Smith, said: “We are delighted...to have been able to create a timely solution for solicitors who we know are finding this year’s insurance renewal season very challenging.” The policy itself is issued by Danish firm Alpha Insurance A/S, which is based in Copenhagen.
