Pound arrival grows Miller property team
MILLER Insurance Services has strengthened its North American property broking team with the appointment of Robert Pound.
Pound, who has joined Miller from Lockton, has spent more than a decade in the insurance industry and has also previously worked for RK Harrison.
The head of energy, property and casualty at Miller, Julian Taylor, said: “Robert has the skills and experience to enhance the service we provide to our clients in this sector and I am pleased to welcome him to Miller.”
Pound’s appointment is the latest in a series of moves and additions that Miller has made in recent months.
Last week in particular was a busy one for the broker, as last Tuesday Miller revealed it had grown its presence in the global facultative reinsurance market following the arrival of Neil Higgins from competitor Newman, Martin and Buchan LLP. The head of facultative reinsurance at Miller, Mike Papworth, said at the time that Higgins’ appointment “represents a significant step in development of our capabilities in this growing area of our business”.
This was followed only two days later with the news that Miller had added Paul Cheng to its Singapore office in a move which the broker hopes will further develop its professional risks book of business in the region.
