Argo adds two more to London team
ARGO INTERNATIONAL, the Lloyd’s arm of Argo Group, has added Rita Mistry and Anthony Hope to its directors and officers (D&O) team.
Both join from Dual Corporate Risks D&O division and will report into Paul Kneafsey.
Two weeks ago, Argo appointed Andrew Robertson to its D&O team. Robertson had previously held the position of director and manager of the D&O team at Dual.
The insurer has pursued an aggressive recruitment campaign in recent months.
In June, Argo strengthened its London property team with the hire of Alexander Campbell, one of the men credited with spearheading the development of Glacier Insurance’s UK property business.
Also last month, Argo appointed Craig Roberts as class underwriter of its international treaty team. Roberts replaced James Braddock, who will be leaving Argo International “to pursue other opportunities”, the Lloyd’s insurer noted.
Other June appointments include Ruth Roberts join as head of claims from CNA Europe, Judith Isherwood join from Mitsui Sumitomo to become head of entertainment and John Moffatt join from QBE as class underwriter for accident and health.
At the end of May, Richard Smart joined from Newline as deputy underwriter for casualty.
